Couch to 5k Week #1/Workout #2

**Note: This post was delayed due to an unexpected baby bird rescue mission which resulted in a trip to get a tetanus shot.

Saturday 4/21/12

Ok. If I had known I was this outta shape I never would have started this DUMB PROGRAM!!  Nonetheless, I made it through today, which was decidedly more difficult than the first day.  Started out with stretches (Hannah’s cookies & milk were absent this time) -went smooth. Next up was 5 minutes of brisk walking. First 2 minutes – not so bad, last 3 minutes – already tired and I haven’t even started the jogging part.
Now it was time for the jogging/walking part for the next 15minutes.  I’ve come to realize that 20 minutes of severe suffering is about all that the human body can take, these people knew what they were doing.  I’m at the point where I closely watch the stop watch to count the seconds till my 60 seconds of jogging are up, and then neglect to notice that my 90 seconds of walking has expired.
I’ll have to admit that I very reluctantly rolled out of my nice warm comfy bed, out from under my heavenly cloud like down comforter, to go running this morning.  I was very very tempted to abandon ship!
